Shipping & Returns

In an e-commerce world of low/free shipping, our shipping rates often stand in stark contrast to others' low prices. Here's why:

Q: My shipping cost is over $50! Aren't these light-weight foam products? Why so much?

Q: What does Oversized Item Badge mean?

A: Our products can be quite large! And these large foam panels simply can't be stuffed into a 12" cube (without causing damage). Items showing the "Oversize item" badge will require additional shipping charges - these include most of our headliners, since they are large, inflexible, plastic-backed parts that can't be broken down into smaller pieces. Some of our most popular headliners require a 50" x 44" x 5" box! Our products are not heavy, just big! And because of their size, our carriers charge a hefty fee based on volume, not weight. Even with our negotiated carrier discounts, and even though we don't mark-up our rates, these boxes are still just plain expensive to ship.

Q: Why don't you offer free shipping?

A: Great question! We could. But here's the thing: we all know there's no such thing as a free lunch. The money to pay our carriers has to come from somewhere. So, we'd have to raise the price of most of our kits by $20-25, and our headliners by $70-80! Each! And eventually, we may have to employ this strategy. But for now, we choose to separately bill for shipping costs, which helps keep our product costs lower. Over time, our customer feedback will let us know if we need to switch this up: we realize there's great psychological power in "Free Shipping!"

Q: Why can't I choose my carrier?

A: We don't have a realistic choice on this one. The large size of our packages dictates who we can use. Spee-Dee Delivery tends to be the most economical carrier we have access to but unfortunately, they only cover a few states in the upper-midwest (IL, IA, WI, MN, SD, ND and parts of NE). So we generally use Spee-Dee when we can, and FedEx or UPS for everyone else. Thankfully, we have been able to negotiate greatly discounted rates with both FedEx and UPS. The US Postal Service's small package size limits means they won't touch most of our boxes.

Q: OK. So what's a guy (or gal) to do? You're not leaving me with many options!

A: Unfortunately, there's just not many options. However, there is one way to get around this problem of expensive shipping: purchase more at a time! Some of our headliners can fit 2 or 3 to a box, for the same shipping price as 1. If you have several tractors to work on, or if you have a friend/neighbor in need of some cab kits, placing a large order will get the per-kit shipping price down. We currently cap our shipping rates at $155 (for US addresses only), because we can ship a full pallet of product via semi-truck (LTL) at that price. The more we can put on your pallet, the lower your per-kit shipping cost will be!

We utilize FedEx Ground, Spee-Dee Delivery, UPS and R&L Carriers for our shipping services. Please contact us if you would prefer an alternative carrier. We will also gladly ship via buyers account number upon request.

Orders outside the United States are possible; however, we are restricted from shipping some products to international destinations. All international purchases will require the purchaser to pay any required taxes, duties and fees once shipment has arrived at your destination. Please contact us if you’re located outside the US - we would be happy to assist you.

Returns Policy

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item). If the order was placed incorrectly by the customer, we will refund the order and the customer must either pay for a return call-tag or arrange return shipment through an alternate carrier.

If any parts are not fitting properly, contact us and we will assist you to either return part(s) or instruct you on possible methods to make them better fit. If you do return the kit, it is important for you to fold foam to foam when repacking. Please DO NOT fold vinyl to vinyl when repacking to return. We will refund your full cost if kits are returned undamaged; there is a restocking fee if they are damaged.

You should expect to receive your refund within two weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly.

If you need to return an item, please contact us with your order number and details about the product you would like to return. We will respond quickly with instructions for how to return items from your order.
